Author event: RI Center for the Book at Salve Regina University's Ochre Court

I was honored to join fellow Rhode Island authors and illustrators at Salve Regina University’s extraordinary Ochre Court in Newport for the Rhode Island Center for the Book’s annual Back to School Book Bash.

The evening offered a wonderful opportunity to connect with writers from across the state, meet readers interested in discovering my work, reconnect with longtime friends and colleagues, and celebrate the remarkable depth of Rhode Island’s literary community.

As an author, one of the most gratifying experiences is talking directly with readers about the stories we create and the ideas behind them. It was especially meaningful to see The Vampire, The Vampire – A Covenant for Peace, and The Earth Consented among the many works represented that evening.

The event supported the Rhode Island Center for the Book’s literacy mission, with funds raised helping to provide new books to schools and libraries throughout RI.

My thanks to the Rhode Island Center for the Book for bringing authors, readers, educators, and literacy supporters together for such a memorable evening—and to Salve Regina University for the spectacular setting.
